We are thrilled to announce the return of the DCO Studio Tertiary Workshop Series: Drama School Insights: Applicant & Parent Q&A!

This unique session is designed for musical theatre & acting drama school applicants and their parents, offering honest, firsthand insight into the journey ahead. The conversation will be facilitated by DCO Studio Director, Daniel Cosgrove. 

This is a rare opportunity not only for applicants to meet successful students, but for parents to ask the questions that matter most. Together, we’ll explore how families have navigated the challenges, transitions, and joys of the audition process and life at drama school.

Discussion topics will include:

• How did successful applicants prepare for auditions?

• What helped them choose their institution?

• What do they wish they’d known beforehand?

• How did they manage housing and relocation?

• How can parents best support their child during this process?

• What expectations are realistic?

• What does government assistance look like, and are financial scholarships available?

This comprehensive session will cover everything from audition prep and callbacks to student life within these institutions. This workshop will contain essential information for those applying to musical theatre institutions and give parents a better understanding for what's ahead.
